Specific Relief Act, 1963
The Specific Relief Act of 1963 is an Act that offers remedies for individuals whose civil or contractual rights have been infringed. It replaced an earlier Act from 1877. A court may provide the following types of remedies under the provisions of the Specific Relief Act:
- Recovery of possession of property
- Contract specific performance
- Instrument rectification
- Rescission of contracts
- Cancellation of Instruments
- Declaratory decrees
